GBIA Annual Fireworks Sponsorship

Description

For the past 18 years, the Glen Burnie Improvement Association (GBIA) has been celebrating Independence Day by organizing a 20-minute fireworks display on July 3rd. This effort is carefully coordinated by the GBIA in partnership with BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, Anne Arundel County Police, Anne Arundel County Department of Parks & Recreation, Glen Burnie Boys Baseball, Monsignor Slade Regional Catholic School, the Pascal Senior Center and Knights of Columbus Council 7025. This annual community event draws over 4,000 viewers to our two designated viewing areas: Anne Arundel County’s Sawmill Creek Park and GBIA’s 3rd Avenue Park. We estimate several thousand viewers also watch from area parking lots, roadways, and neighborhoods. While our commitment to hosting this annual event is unwavering, financial support from like-minded partners will ensure the GBIA continues its service to the community.
